Bogsch Erik, Csányi Sándor, Demján Sándor, Garancsi István, Habony Árpád, Hernádi Zsolt, Matolcsy György, Mészáros Lőrinc, Spéder Zoltán and Andy Vajna are the most influential business decision makers, according to the latest issue of Manager Magazine. The new 132-page issue of the magazine is available at newsstands and has increased print run.

The redesign of Manager Magazine goes on with a 132-page double issue in May. The premium economic magazine for middle and top level business executives and decision takers came out with a more dynamic layout and provocative content in April, and this month, in May, the print run of the magazine was increased.

The cover story is the List of Top 101 Most Influential Business Decision Makers in Hungary, prepared for the second time by Mediaworks. This year’s list was first presented on 24 May at the conference “Hungarian Economic Summit”, organized by Világgazdaság.

The ranking is prepared by a panel of experts, and presents, in groups of ten and in alphabetical order, those persons who have the most influence on short and long term decisions and economic processes. This year Bogsch Erik, Csányi Sándor, Demján Sándor, Garancsi István, Habony Árpád, Hernádi Zsolt, Matolcsy György, Mészáros Lőrinc, Spéder Zoltán and Andy Vajna made it to the Top 10.

Apart from the Top 101 list, the journalists of the magazine reviewed and analyzed the process of formation of the Hungarian elite after the fall of communism, and the changes to that elite. Among other things they found that the upper ten thousand are only eight thousand, and the transition at the beginning of the 90’s was much softer and more law-abiding than in other countries of the region. Despite clashes from time to time between top economic and political figures, there certainly is a status-quo, and the ranking of the elite hardly ever changes.

The May issue of Manager Magazine also features lighter and more entertaining content, e.g. articles about the most expensive cars in the world and about golf courses in Hungary. The magazine features a behind-the-scenes report about Costes Downtown, meant to be the little brother of Hungary’s first Michelin-star restaurant, an interview with the president of The Ritz-Carlton and other successful international businessmen, according to whom, we should “talk companies into success” instead of focusing on figures.
