| The number of supporters following the official Facebook page of Nemzeti Sport, the leading sports newspaper of Hungary, finally exceeded the impressive number of 300,000 by the end of October. The community site of Nemzeti Sport, launched in 2010, is the most popular sports news site in the community media space, which has by now more than two million visitors every week.
Hungarian sports fans – not just from Hungary, but thousands from Romania, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Serbia and Austria too – like and follow the Facebook page of Nemzeti Sport, which provides the readers with the most recent and important Hungarian and international sports news, entertaining pieces of content with images and videos, publishing forty to fifty entries every day from early morning till late night. „If somebody had told me five years ago that we would have three hundred thousand likes one day, I would not have believed it. It seemed to me as if we were trying the climb Mount Everest. Since then we passed the three hundred thousand-follower mark, and I congratulate all my colleagues on getting so far. It is an outstanding achievement. Now reaching half a million followers is not a pipe dream any longer”, said József Buzgó, editor-in-chief of Nemzeti Sport, summing up the recent achievements. „We were humbled by the congratulations we received on passing this milestone that is unparalleled in the Hungarian sports media.
