Mediaworks Hungary Zrt, the most influential media company in Hungary, was established on 1 October and changes in key personnel took place in the management of Világgazdaság and Népszabadság the very first day the company launched operations.

Levente Tóth was appointed editor-in-chief of Világgazdaság from 1 October who previously managed Népszabadság as acting editor-in-chief. Levente Tóth began his career at Népszabadság, after which he worked at Világgazdaság, Figyelő (Observer) and Napi Gazdaság (Daily Finance). He returned to Népszabadság in 2002 where he managed the financial column until the beginning of 2010. From 2010 he was the deputy editor-in-chief of Népszabadság and acting editor-in-chief up to August 2014.

Iván Várkonyi, former manager of the financial column of Népszabadság is continuing his career as senior editor of Világgazdaság from 6 October 2014.

The management of the national current affairs newspaper Népszabadság sold in the highest number of copies is also changing. Marcell Murányi, editor-in-chief of Népszabadság from August, transformed the structure of the editorial. As an outcome of these changes, Márton Gergely, senior editor of NOL.hu is continuing his work as deputy editor-in-chief, which position has lately remained unfilled, similarly to Péter N. Nagy, senior editor of the editorial and opinion column and Ákos Tóth, senior editor of the domestic politics column.

Levente Tóth is the editor-in-chief of Világgazdaság as of 1 October. The deputy editors-in-chief of Népszabadság have also been appointed.
