CEO of Mediaworks is leaving the company

On May 26, 2015 the Supervisory Board of Mediaworks acknowledged and resolved on the future merger of all entities wholly owned by the firm, one of the largest media companies in Hungary. With this step the first two phases of the acquisition of Mediaworks and its formation into one legal and organisational entity was successfully completed and the next phase of its future expansion was started.

Attila Mihók, CEO of Mediaworks Hungary Zrt. and executive officer of affiliated companies of Mediaworks informed the Supervisory Board that he resigns on his own wish.

The Supervisory Board respects and acknowledges Mr. Mihók’s decision.

Heinrich Pecina, Senior Partner of Vienna Capital Partners (VCP) expressed his gratitude for Attila Mihók’s contribution to the establishment and formation of Mediaworks of the former portfolios of Ringier Hungary and Axel Springer Hungary back in 2014 and for his achievements as CEO running the group.

Mediaworks will search for an appropriate replacement and will inform about Mr. Mihók’s successor shortly. Viktor Katona, CFO and COO of Mediaworks since foundation, has been named interim CEO until a new CEO is appointed.
