After 13 years as Research Director, Máth András resigned of his position at Mediaworks, yet will continue to help the publishing company as a consultant.
Since 2003, Máth András participated in countless projects related to print and online products of the company. He was actively involved in preliminary market research projects before product launches, contributed to the development of company strategy, set up the advertising-supporting research methodology, and represented the company in projects such as “Written words remain”, the launch of the National Readership Survey, establishing the print estimate methodology of the Hungarian Publishers Association, the foundation and leading of the Digital Audience Measurement committee.
In the last 3 or 4 years András coordinated several projects outside his research area.
“My newly acquired interest for new and varied areas does not really fit in with a position at a traditional publishing company”, he said. “That is why I decided to leave Mediaworks, and try my expertise, besides education and research, in areas like business consulting, corporate organization and new business.
I am proud of my achievements at Ringier and Mediaworks. I see it as a personal success that over 40 of my earlier students work now in the media sector as researchers, analysts and media experts.”
Despite his resignation, the cooperation between Máth András and the publishing company is going to continue, with specific tasks to be determined together on a one-off project basis, and notifying directly all internal and external partners and colleagues (including those from the association) involved.
