Világgazdaság (World Economy) will be published in a modern layout, with unique features, exclusive information and articles by the leading experts of Hungarian financial journalism from 12 October 2015. This is the beginning of the relaunch programme of the only financial daily in the Hungarian media market. Világgazdaság is a credible and independent source of business information which helps the business world, small and medium enterprises, as well as the management of public administration make well-founded decisions with its new services.
The financial daily celebrating its 46th anniversary this year preserves its traditions: the emblematic green paper linked to the name of the newspaper will remain and the newspaper will return to its roots following its relaunch, since Világgazdaság was the only daily in which international financial events unfolding could be followed without being distorted even when it was founded back in 1969. Bringing news from business life that is becoming global to Hungary, offering an outlook beyond the borders and giving readers insight into the ideas of leading global decision-makers is the aim of the relaunched Világgazdaság.
„Világgazdaság will be published in a modernised layout, more transparent structure and with more information from Monday. The content of the newspaper whose pages will be in colour is also changing and will present the most important events unfolding in business life with unique contents, exclusive information and articles written in a plainer language and focusing on the individual,” highlighted Tamás Mezősi, editor-in-chief of Világgazdaság.
The transformation of the print issue is just the first step of the relaunch process, which besides the reconceptualisation of vg.hu, may be followed by the introduction of further services in the near future. The transformed organisational structure of the newspaper, the reinforced team of journalists and the recently announced signing of the strategic agreement between Világgazdaság and Portfolio serves to develop its content and services.
The VG network, the product and service network linked to Világgazdaság will also further expand as a part of this process. The conference series that is now essential for the business world will also be expanded, which will also be reinforced by connecting ad hoc issues published bimonthly.
